Moving the money from war profiteering to human needs

Get Involved

Move The Money Michigan is dedicated to promoting peace and advocating for the reallocation of public funds away from war and towards social investments. Our organization aims to raise awareness and encourage active participation in building the peace movement in the U.S.

Mission Statement

Move The Money Michigan is a campaign aimed at redirecting significant federal funds from the military budget to meet the pressing needs of communities across Detroit and the entire state. By moving money from the Pentagon, we can strengthen essential services in healthcare, education, housing, and public infrastructure, which are critical for the well-being and prosperity of Michigan residents.

Our coalition of community organizations and dedicated activists is committed to fighting for transparency and public accountability in government spending. We call on Michigan’s legislators to stand with us in prioritizing the needs of our communities over excessive military expenditures, bombs, and war. Through public hearings and local support, we aim to ensure that the voices of Detroit and Michigan residents are heard, and that resources are invested where they are needed most—right here at home.
